Martinson Hall History
Martinson Hall's venue space is located in the upstairs of the historic Reilly Brothers Implement Building in Mount Horeb, originally constructed in 1912. The venue is named after the family that initially operated Martinson Brothers Implement and its evolution to the Farm Utility Store in the town from 1920 to 1970. A three-year restoration process of the entire building has resulted in the gorgeous venue space that now stands.
Our Story
Buck and Honey Birkinbine were one of the area’s best-known residents. They once owned and farmed the land where our first location in Sun Prairie sits today. Together they lived a life of service and philanthropy in the community and they were always well known to enjoy hosting good company at their home on Windsor Street. It is in their spirit that we present to you Buck and Honey’s Restaurants.
Our Chef
Executive Chef Sam Millan was born and raised in Ixtapa, Mexico - a tourist town on the ocean. His father, an entrepreneur, instilled in him the value of carrying a passionate pursuit of his goals at a very early age. When Chef Millan turned 17, he knew there was something 'out there for him that he wasn't finding in Ixtapa, and he uprooted and moved to San Francisco.
